I've been in sales and marketing for over 25 years. I've seen "bad" economies and good economies. The unfortunate way the public looks at life and lifes challenges seems to be based on public perceptions. When the talking heads on the 6:00 o'clock news clamor that the "sky is falling", why oh why do we listen??. 
I truly feel that the media is probably the biggest controller of our thoughts. What we think, many times, becomes who we are. When we let negative thinking take over, our lives can be and do become a downward spiral.
