Have you ever considered investigating property on St. Croix, a US territory? Many prospective buyers are concerned about the cost of insurance. Waterfront condo in St. Croix, Virgin islands has supersonic insurance costs but the low taxes balances it out and removes some of the sting. Our limited market of only approximately 120,000 people doesn't give us strong buying power therefore we are at the mercy of the insurance provider and their re-insurance companies. However the taxes are very low!
The insurance cost for all peril insurance runs just over $400 per month and the real estate property tax is approximately the low cost of only $60 per month. … (3 comments)
