If you're looking for Indian food in the Dallas area, try the "casual Indian restaurant" Masala Wok in Addison, Texas.  Located on the southwest corner of Belt Line Road and Quorum, Masala Wok features Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes.  The food is fresh and made to order, prepared with fresh ground spices, vegetables and meat.
I had dinner there a few weeks ago and will definitely be going back.  The Chicken Korma Masala was tasty and very reasonably priced at $8.49.  It is listed under Signature Dishes on the menu.  The nan (bread) was a little on the dry side, but I used … (10 comments)

I'm Giving the Buyer's Agent Closing Gifts - 03/07/10 10:39 AM
If we ever get to the closing table, I'm giving the buyer's agent some closing gifts.  This has been, by far, the worst transaction I have ever been part of, and it's all due to the buyer's agent.
Here in Texas, we have an optional "option period" during which the buyer conducts inspections and can walk away for any reason and get the earnest money refunded.  To have an option period, there must be "nominal consideration," or some monetary amount paid to the seller.  It CLEARLY states in the contract that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE for the option period.  The buyer … (5 comments)

Ah, Addison! Not a city, but a "town." The Town of Addison. The best place to live and work in North Texas. There's something to be said about a place that doesn't take itself too seriously. Note the exclamation point in the town's name. Here you'll find the ruminations, rants and raves of one of the town's realtors and residents.
