Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Addison's KaboomTown on July 3rd in Addison Circle Park.
This free event is more than just fireworks.  Come early (5:00 pm) and stay late (midnight) to avoid the traffic.

Here's the lineup for the main stage entertainment:

Addison's Next Mayor? - 06/27/10 08:27 PM
The city council election in Addison, Texas this year was a non-event.  With 3 candidates vying for 3 seats, the election was cancelled and the candidates sworn in as the code allows. Next year, in 2011, in addition to council seats up for grabs, the mayor's position will also be open due to current Addison Mayor Joe Chow being term-limited and unable to run again.
Don Daseke, Addison's current Mayor Pro Tempore, has been quietly holding exploratory conversations with city leaders, past and present.  Don is an entrepreneur and businessman and he held various positions in Addison before serving on the town … (2 comments)

Update on Addison's Meridian Square - 06/26/10 06:27 PM
Construction is well underway in Addison Texas at Meridian Square. Savannah Developers' first phase includes tri-level townhomes.  Once they are built out, condo flats will be built in phase 2.
Although construction hasn't yet started on the condos, floor plans and pricing are available.  A 1 bedroom, 2 bath with study, the smallest of the plans at 912 square feet, is being pre-sold for $249,500 (Cindy McCarty & Associates is the listing broker).  The largest unit, at 2148 square feet, will be a 2 bedroom, 3 bath plus study, priced at $539,000.  HOA dues will be based on the size of … (2 comments)

Addison Pacesetters Learn About the Addison Community Garden at Dunn Bros. Coffeehouse - 06/04/10 08:44 PM
Addison Pacesetters (the 50+ group) meet the first Wednesday of each month at Dunn Bros. Coffeehouse on Beltline Road and learn about the Town of Addison.  This month, Neil Hewitt, member of the Addison Arbor Foundation, spoke to us.  Here are some interesting tidbits from his presentation.
In April 2009, the Addison Parks & Recreation Department conducted a survey. A community garden ranked 3rd on the wish list of the participants. Attendees at the Addison Arbor Foundation pledged to participate in the community garden.
