Addison, Texas has not been as hard hit with foreclosures as other parts of the country, but foreclosures do exist here.  The foreclosure auction is held at the county courthouse on the first Tuesday of each month.  Properties on the following streets are posted for the August 3, 2010 auction and include:

I didn't know until it was too late to do anything about it. 
I had no one through the open house I held this afternoon.  No one.  Not a buyer, not even a neighbor. After the appointed time, I got up to leave and what do I see?  The FSBO down the street is also doing an open house.  But he's got his grandkids in the front yard with a lemonade stand!

If you love Thai food, you're going to love the new Thai Star Restaurant in Addison, Texas. Owners Mark Earl Long and P'or Seekhor Long took over the old Best Thai location at the rear of the parking lot at 14833 Midway Road, Addison TX (south of Belt Line, north of Spring Valley). It's difficult to find if you've never been there before, but well worth the hunt to locate it (hint: turn into the driveway between Firefly Asain Grill and Ferrari's Italian and keep driving west).

Addison Eateries To Participate in KRLD Restaurant Week, 2010 - 07/21/10 11:56 AM
Each summer, Dallas area restaurants participate in a fund raiser for the North Texas Food Bank.  The establishments offer special three-course, fixed price dinners.  This year, several Addison restaurants are opening their doors to this event.
Check out all participating restaurants in this year's KRLD Restaurant Week here.
Dinners are $35.00 per person with $7.00 from each dinner benefiting the food bank.  Beverages, tax and gratuity are additional and reservations are required.
Restaurant Week runs August 16 through August 22, and some restaurants extend their special menus into September.

There are currently 5 homes on the market in Towne Lake, priced from a low of $279,900 to a high of $337,000. There have been 2 sales in the neighborhood since January 1st, with $148.15 being the average price per sq. ft. (up from the average sales price of $136.82 six months ago).  Homes sold from a low of $280,000 to a high of $320,000.  The highest sale was at $152.67/sq ft (up from $150.62 in the previous 6 month period).
