The culmination of WaterTower Theatre's two week Summer Performing Arts Conservatory is a kid-size production of Willy Wonka. The play is this weekend and I urge you to get your sweets on and head over to the theater at 15650 Addison Road, Addison, Texas. Addison Pacesetter's Field Trip to Chihuly at Dallas Arboretum - 06/13/12 02:42 PM
Two bus loads of Addison, Texas Pacesetters (50+ years of age) spent a delightful evening at the Dallas Arboretum on May 29, 2012. We were there to see the Chihuly exhibit and hear Dan Whyms perform a tribute to Johnny Cash. The Dallas Arboretum is located at 8525 Garland Road in Dallas and the exhibit runs through November 5th. Individual tickets are $10 (seniors) and $12 (members) to $22 (non-members) and parking is free. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings, there are concerts on the hill inside the Arboretum. This month, Dannette Robinson spoke to us. She is the assistant to the City Manager, Ron Whitehead. Looking for free entertainment this weekend around Addison, Texas? On Saturday night, Kirk Thurmond, Phoenix Hart, & Gary Floyd will be performing in Beckert Park (just to the east of Addison Circle) as part of the Songwriter Saturdays series and the event is part of the Troubador, TX tv series. Did I mention: admission is FREE! The music starts at 8:00 pm and runs through 10:00 pm. Grab a blanket or some lawn chairs, pack your cooler, and head over to the park. First it was a French play. Then it was made into a movie with Jerry Lewis and Tony Curtis. Now it's back on stage at Addison's WaterTower Theatre in Addison, Texas.
