Citing excellent stats such as median income levels, median home prices and availability of hospitals, our charming town of Fairhope, AL has topped the charts again as #14 of the Top 25 Places to Retire. I think the last time Fairhope made this list was in the 1990s and CNN Money was right again to add it back to the list!

Well myyyyy goodness. We've made news again and this time with the Washington Post. This past sunday our fine state graced the Travel pages of the Washington Post in a wonderful article which takes readers on a journey to some of the lesser-known spots we call home OR what they call the "back roads of alabama." The author, Clay Risen, explains that "there is a lot more to Alabama than pork and pigskins" through a trip he now takes annually to the Southern Writers Reading here in Fairhope. There is a great article in today's Press Register that I feel the need to share....According to Forbes.com, the Fairhope-Daphne-Foley area is considered the fourth best place in the nation at withstanding hard economic times.
