Listen Carefully to What a Person Says About Others
“You can tell more about a person by what he says
about others than you can by what others say about him”
Leo Aikma,
As I see it . . . . . . .
Listen carefully to what a person says about others
A person’s true character is revealed in how they speak about others.
A person of character reminds in control of their emotions and their words. They understand how to use their words for maximum effectiveness and will avoid criticizing and commending people in a public forum.
They will praise a person in public and tactfully handle the challenging situations in private
The person that continually complaints and speaks poorly of people in a public forum or blames others for their conditions are living their life through the prism of a negative paradigm.
This type of behavior reveals a character flaw that unless it’s reversed will create a great deal of personal issues in their personal and business relationships.
Listen carefully to what a person says about others because how they speak about ours is a widow into their character and their attitude.

The Answers Are in The Questions
“He who knows all the answers has not yet
asked all the questions."
Source Unknown
As I see it . . . . . . .
The answers are in the questions
To find the answers you have to ask right questions.
To ask the right questions you have to know what to ask.
To know what to ask you have to listen.
By asking questions an enormous amount of information is exchanged. When you’re asking questions and listening you’re gathering a great deal of information and when that information is needed it you will there for you.
When you’re lacking information the right questions have not yet been asked.
As business professionals you have to master the art of effective communications. Professionals make a career out of asking questions and gathering information and using that information effectively.
That information will enable the business professional to understand the needs and motivation of their customers, to successfully conduct business and to negotiate.
Business professionals communicate effectively and with a purpose.
The answers are in the questions. Ask the right questions and listen to understand and to gather information and you will find the answers to what you’re looking for.

They will be in your life through the good times and through your most trying times. You will find them standing at your side and offer you’re their hand in your time of need.

When your world seems to be going up in flames they come into your life to put out the fire and to stand with you.

The Rush to Yes in Negotiations . . . .
“In Negotiation, “yes” is the last word.
It just betrays fear of failure and a fear of losing this deal,
and it primes you to please the other side,
to rush ahead, to compromise early and often,
to come to a deal, any deal.”
Jim Camp, negotiations trainer and Coach
As I see it . . . . . . .
The rush to yes in negotiations . . . .
The rush to yes in negotiations can become the kiss of death in the negotiations process.
A fast yes can lead the other party to feel that the party offering the concession is either anxious or under pressure to close the negotiations. The fast yes leads to a weaker position in the negotiations by the party offer the fast concession.
A fast yes can lead the parties to feel that things were left on the table and if they negotiated a little longer and harder that they could have gotten more concessions. This can cause the negotiations either to break down or for far great concessions being asked for.
The fast yes exposes the negotiator weakness in the negotiations process and a good negotiator will use the situation to their advantage.
The rush to yes in negotiations can lead to a breakdown in the negotiations or an unfavorable conclusion.

A Vision of President John F. Kennedy
“A leader has the vision and the conviction
that a dream can be achieved.
He inspires the power and energy to get done.”
Ralph Lauren, Fashion Designer, Business Executive
As I see it . . . . . . .
A vision of President John F. Kennedy
President Kennedy had a vision for the nation of putting a man on the moon before the end of the decade. On July 20, 1969 Apollo Eleven landed on the moon with Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin “Buzz” Alden. When Astronaut Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon he became the first person to ever walk on the moon.
On that day President Kennedy vision became a reality.
Great leaders like President Kennedy can have a positive vision for the future that it becomes so powerful in their thinking that they can express it and inspire a nation to action.
President Kennedy had the vision and America was inspired to make that vision their passion and make it become a reality.
I believe business professionals are leaders and their role is to inspire their customers to move forward and take action. A professional with a strong conviction in their product and service can inspire someone into action.
A vision of President John F. Kennedy empowered an entire nation into action. Our role a business profession is to empower our customers into action.
