As I see it . . . . . . .

Get with it

To fret over the work that you did not compete . . . . because your didn’t start is like taking about spending the money that you didn’t make because you didn’t work.

In other words it’s like trying to get paid to watch the grass grow

It’s like asking a real estate sale person about their business plan . . . . and they tell you that they don’t need a business plan as a sales associate.

It’s asking a sales person what their top 5 goals are in their order of importance . . . . and the room goes dead silent.

It’s asking a sales person who the target market is for selling their listing . . . . and they respond buyers.

It’s asking a sales person who the target market is for their . . . . farming and personal promotion . . . . and you begin to hear crickets.

It’s asking a sales person how much time they invest daily prospecting . . . . and they tell you they’re too busy to prospect.

It’s asking a sales person to tell about the last book they read on personal development . . . . and they tell you they can’t remember.

It’s asking a sales person to what books are in their personal development library . . . . and they have blank look in their eyes.

The questions in the post are among the questions that I use when interviewing a potential candidate for a sales professional position . . . .

Many people expect to come into real estate and get rich. People can prosper in real estate and they are the ones that get with it . . . . make it a career and work at it.

A great leader inspires the people around them . . . . and show confidence in them as people. As a result the people will willingly to follow a great leader . . . . without being asked.

Great leaders don’t start out to be a great leader they earn that right through their integrity . . . . and in the consistency of their actions. What makes a leader great is in the eyes of the followers.

When you speak to a great leader you will find them to be humble a person who has stretched themselves beyond . . . . their limits in very challenging times.

They generously give credit to other people for their success . . . . and are appreciative of there efforts.

Feeling sorry for yourself because of a condition that you find yourself in will zap your energy and distorts your thinking . . . . without having any positive impact on changing or improving the condition.

The best thing that you can do about a challenging condition . . . . is to find the best way to change it, overcome it . . . . and get over it.

Feeling sorry for your self is a negative and unproductive habit . . .

No matter how much you feel sorry for yourself or worry about the condition nothing positive will happen. All that happens is you become stressed out and unproductive.

When you face a challenging condition . . . . you have two choices. One is you can feel sorry for yourself which becomes an exercise in unproductive behavior. Or you can choose take control on the condition and take responsibility for achieving a successful outcome.

Your thoughts can backup . . . . and create emotional log jam in your thinking. The logjam will slow your positive thinking down to a trickle. It will also hinder your creative thinking almost to the point . . . . of being none existing and to where you become nonproductive.

An emotional logjam in your thinking creates . . . . an enormous amount of distress in your life.

Look for the root of what’s causing of the emotional logjam . . . . and find the best to break it.

Just like a logjam in a stream . . . . A emotional logjam in your thinking has taken time to become what is today. What starts with one thing accumulates until your thought process becomes blocked and the stress in your life grows in an unacceptable level.

In the steam you have to look at what’s causing the logjam. When you find it and you have to begin removing the obstructions until. . . . you break the logjam and your thoughts begins to flow freely.

Get down to the root cause of your emotional logjam and start to remove what’s causing the blockage. As you remove them . . . . there will be a point where the emotional logjam breaks your thinking becomes clear . . . . and the distress in your life is lifted.

Purpose and direction

Many people are focused on going as fast as they can go on their success journey . . . . For them it’s nothing less than full speed ahead.

We all will experience some level of failure in our lives . . . . Inaction creates far more risk of failure then focused actions and effort.

There is truth in the fact . . . . that if you would read on a topic for one hour a day for five years that . . . . you will become a subject matter expert on the topic.

What you read is a window of who you are . . . . When you go back and re-read the material each time you do you extract more and more information from what you’re reading.

The first time you read the material you take away information. As you continue to re-read the material . . . . you are gaining additional knowledge and insight on the subject matter. In time by re-reading the material you will become a recognized subject matter expert.

Over time what you read and reread will shape you into the person that you will become . . . . and shape you future.

As I see it . . . . . . .

We create our circumstances

It has been said that we are the creature of our circumstance . . . .

I believe that we create our circumstances . . . . and if we create them we can change them.

I had the opportunity to meet and to coach a single mom who had just entered the real estate business.

In speaking with her she was coming into the real estate business with very little financial resources and a dream to turn her life around.

She had been through several bad relationships . . . . that have all turned out badly. With one young child she was working two jobs to make ends and supporting the guy in her life.

When I first spoke to her she was focused on the circumstances in her life and the how bad the man where.

It took same time, coaching and in mentoring her to create a break thought in her life. She came to the conclusion that the common element was she was there in all the relationships and passively allow the circumstances to develop.

She moved forward with the awareness that she controlled her circumstances and her relationships. She also recognized that it was within her power to change her circumstances.

We create our circumstances . . . . and we can change them when we decide to.

Your day has slips away . . . . there were the challenges that had to be handles and the little things that had to be done . . . . and the multi tasking that have made up the 24 hours that have slipped away.

Empire in the Midwest

As I see it . . . . . . .

An unbeatable combination

America was built on the back of hard working people who came to the county to have better life for their families . . . .

They came to America looking for opportunity and with their hard work their children grow up living a better life.

That’s the story of my grandparents . . . . hard working and self-reliant. No hand outs . . . . they wanted opportunity.

My father’s parents arrived at Ellis Island as a young married couple with the clothes on their back and all of their worldly procession in a steamer trunk.

My grandparents had a sponsor that paid their passage to America.

Once they cleared immigrations they left Ellis lsland and set out for Brooklyn, New York to work for the sponsor until their indebtedness was paid in full.

My grandfather worked in factories all his life and my grandmother worked for the sponsor as a cook and housekeep in Brooklyn.

Through their hard work and self-reliance they were able to move to Trenton, New Jersey. Where they purchased a home and raised four sons and in that home.

Years later all four sons became homeowner’s as well.

An unbeatable combination . . . . in both life and in business is hard work and self-reliance and my grandparents had both and that inspiration remains with me today.
