R.I.P. Phil Hill
1961 Formula One world champion Phil Hill died from complications arising from Parkinson's disease on Thursday 28th August 2008, he was 81.
Phil was the only American-born F1 world champion.
Miami-born Phil Hill began his racing career in sportscars, notably MG TCs, before graduating swiftly to Ferraris.
In 1952 he came sixth in the Carrera Panamerica road race, following it up with second two years later.
After winning the 1955 SCCA championship, Hill picked up a contract to drive sportscars with Ferrari. Hill had his sights set on grand prix racing, and despite initial reluctance from Enzo Ferrari to place … (2 comments)

First day back at school - 08/19/08 06:08 AM
My wife decided to give the girls a "back to school" lunch time treat in there lunch boxes this morning.

What's really funny is that the girls are 12 & 14, they are going to be sooo pleased when they open their lunch boxes.
I can not wait till they get back home tonight to see what they have to say about it.
