Selling by owner doesn't mean you're on your own, at least not when you advertise with Massachusetts 4 Sale By Owner.  Since 2002, we've ben helping consumers learn how to sell successfully "by owner ".  We started thinking about ways to celebrate our upcoming birthday in March and wanted to find a way to connect with our previous advertisers. 
The solution?  We formed a Facebook group called Friends of Massachusetts 4 Sale By Owner.  Any past or current home seller is welcome to join the group, share experiences, relate funny stories, reunite with neighbors and friends and help support new homesellers … (0 comments)

social networking: Follow Through - It's Harder Than It Looks - 04/20/09 08:59 AM
I took tennis lessons years ago and remember spending hours just trying to hit the ball in the general direction of where I wanted it to go.  My instructor was relentless. "Step, arm back, step, swing, step, follow through."  It took me quite a while to learn the importance of following through on my serve.  My two girls are, unlike their mom, both accomplished athletes and skilled basketball players. Over and over their coaches would yell, "Follow your shot, follow through, follow it up."  Once they grasped that concept and incorporated it into their game, there was no stopping them.

All homes are really sold "by owner". While many home sellers choose to list their property with a real estate agent, others prefer to handle that job themselves and look for alternative ways to maintain a larger role in the process. As a marketer and advocate for DIY real estate, my job is to make sure they succeed - through education, advertising through our website, social media, online newsletters and blogs.
