tax credit: Two Victories For Home Buyers Today! - 07/01/10 08:17 PM
 
For those of  you who didn't make it to closing by June 30th - on time for the original homebuyer tax credit deadline, here's some good and welcome news.  The closing date deadline has been extended.
 
Via Elizabeth Veilleux (Ballenger Realty):
Congress has passed a bill extending the Homebuyer Tax Credit closingdeadline from June 30, 2010 to September 30, 2010. The extension appliesonly to transactions that had ratified contracts in place as of April 30,2010, and have not yet closed.  Additionally, Congress has extended the National Flood Insurance Program(NFIP) through September 30th.  The bill is retroactive and will cover thelapse … (2 comments)

tax credit: First time Homebuyers Tax Credit - Major Modifications 2008 vs 2009 - 02/15/09 10:14 AM
By now I'm sure we're all confused about the modifications in the First Time Homebuyers tax credit - Old verses New.  NYSAR just put out a handy chart highlighting the differences and major modifications of the 2008 verses the 2009 Recovery and Reinvestment Act
