Thinking About Moving to Brookline, New Hampshire? - 02/28/11 06:01 PM
Brookline, New Hampshire is home to approximately 4,500 residents.  Just over the Massachusetts Border from Townsend & Pepperell, MA is it located just west of Hollis New Hampshire.
It remains quaint and rural but there are restaurants, convenience stores, and many fun outdoor activities.
The railroad ran through Brookline, New Hampshire at one time and on top of the large hill that now is home to an abundant amount of wildlife not to mention a cell phone tower, it once had a small ski slope and ice house called "Fresh Pond Ice."
The 140 acres of Talbot-Taylor Wildlife shares the hilltop … (1 comments)

Have you ever tried to fix your toilet with the wrong size wrench? - 02/26/11 08:33 AM
Have you ever tried to fix your toilet with the wrong size wrench?  How did that go for you?
Have you ever tried to build a website without any tools or wonder which tool was/is best for you?
Everyone wants to build your page.  How do you get FOUND these days?  If you rely on your own efforts it
will be extremely difficult because selling real estate and building an SEO campaign (search engine
optimization) are two different animals.  Active Rain, as a "rainmaker," I can say gets excellent placement
or SEO.  Try writing a blog and go back in 15 … (0 comments)

Working With My Mom - 02/25/11 06:38 PM

I have been extremely fortunate in my life to be able to work closely with my family and friends in the real estate business.  My mother has worked in law most of her life and retired early to work part time as my assistant in business.
Here we are, mother and daughter team, with personalities that complimented one another, and we were happy and blessed to be able to spend so much time together.
After working almost 5 years as my assistant my mother has embarked on an adventure... to become her own licensed agent!  Kudos to my mommy.

Triple Digit Oil Hikes - does that mean interest rates will go up? - 02/25/11 09:16 AM
The Middle East Crisis: Egypt, Libya and Triple-Digit Oil Prices is the headline for today Feb 25, 2011.  What does that mean to you if you are a buyer? An estimated 5% mortgage today for a loan amount of $200,000 principal and interest is around 1200. + and if they rates go up 1% that will almost increase your mortgage payment $100. per month.  Do you think it is time to buy? … (0 comments)

It takes alot of energy to be mean, but no energy at all to be NICE! - 02/20/11 05:41 PM
As I stood in line at the little convenience store down the street because I was out of eggs this morning, I could hear the cheerful checker with her PERKY voice saying "good morning, how are you" and she made a suggestion to the man in line about how he could use his debit card to buy a power ball ticket if he spent a certain amount, and then she proceeded to suggest products to him that he might be interested in.  The next main in line, she again did the same thing.
I was thinking, "wow, this is a new … (6 comments)

Experience * Professionalism * Stability in Southern New Hampshire Marketplace - 02/16/11 12:09 PM
In today's changing market the consumer, whether buying or selling a home, wants to work with an experienced real estate.
Perhaps they (buyer or seller in southern nh) interviewed 3 real estate companies to see which one would best fit their needs and who they felt would market their home effectively.
In addition, they may have asked each agent how many years they have been in the business, show me your marketing plan, what can your company do, etc. but they are also looking at a number of factors these days.
Such as what kind of appearance does the real estate agent … (0 comments)

Changing Your Mindset in this New Economy! - 02/02/11 05:49 PM
My mind is sometimes curiously puzzled about the economy and where the real estate industry is going.
Not that long ago the average price for a house in Hollis, NH was between $350,000 and $400,000 and the average price in Nashua was around $300,000.  Now the average price in Nashua is around $200,000 and Hollis is under $300,000.  Seems like the prices keep dropping, however, we hear economists say the market is turning.
What baffles me even further is the fact that because of all the foreclosures people don't have any place to live.  Thus, the rental market is up, up, … (0 comments)
