Do you use Constant Contact? - 08/31/10 11:55 PM

I have been using Constant Contact for my on-line newsletters for about 6 months. I was using Vflyer but they didn't seem to offer as much when it came to tracking my results and housing my e-mail addresses. I send out  e-mails about once a month. It will have one of my most recent staging jobs (before & after) as well as a few tips or hints. I e-mail to a large list of Real Estat Agents as well as other contacts and friends. The subject line is always "Another Home Staging in... Olathe (city changes)".

Falling in love with Fall - 08/30/10 09:07 PM
Okay, the temperature is still in the 90's here in Lenexa, KS but knowing that September is upon us has got me thinking of fireplaces and chili.  The heat of the summer will finally start to cut us some slack.  Fall is a season that most people love.  The warm colors of orange, brown, red are in abundance. People welcome seeing those colors all around them, including their interiors.  Do you give your home a change of seasons makeover - pillows, slipcovers, curtains?  I'm ready for the change.  Now that school has started it rings in several traditions at our home. … (8 comments)

Two couches and an entertainment center was just a little too much for this small living room. The arrangement was also blocking the window which is often a bad idea when showing off a room. I'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours - 08/28/10 10:07 PM
Stagers are definately artists.  We work with color, composition & scale - all in a 3 dimensional medium.  Some stagers are also artists in 2D form.  After reading one of David Ames blogs and finding out that he often creates his own artwork and Lori Kim Polk chimed in as well, it made me curious.  How many of you have created artwork specifically for a staging job? Here's a chance to show off another artistic side. Post a photo of your self-created artwork for a staging job.
I bought this triptic of heavy duty frames for $20 (from Craigslist) but the … (14 comments)

Are Beauty Pagents Outdated? - 08/27/10 01:28 PM
Personally, I do think Beauty Pagents for women are outdated but.... when you put your house on the market....you are entering a Beauty Pagent whether you like it or not.   The judges are the buyers and there are a lot of contestants!  The most beautiful and best presented will get noticed and get a lot of attention.  Yes, beauty is only skin deep but that's often what starts the relationship!   After their beauty has got your attention then you can show off your new roof, energy efficient furnace and air tight windows (hubba hubba).  Just think about the comparison.  … (13 comments)
