I am begining to realize that weather has nothing to do with real estate.  We recieved 6 to 8 inches of snow in a place that usually does not recieve that much all winter and I recieved more phone calls and showed homes in one day than all week.  It really don't make since sometimes but I'm not complaining other than having to do the driving.

Coldwell Banker had it's Awards Banquet this evening.  It is a wonderful thing to see how well 2007 was for the majority of agents even with all the negative attention being recieved in the media.  I would like to wish everyone a prosperous 2008.  This is my first year in real estate and I look forward to many more years.  I have set some pretty reachable goals and look forward to meeting and exceeding those goals.  I enjoy reading all the blogs on this website some are very informative and i have used some of the ideas in my daily practice and some are just humorous which I truley enjoy.  Please send any information which will help me to be a better blogger, I can really use it but I guess you got to start somewhere.

Unlike other areas of th country our economy is strong.  According to the Chamber of Commerce nine new industries have been recruited to South Central Kentucky.  This means new jobs, more home buyers, and soon to be higher prices.

In 2007 our sales figures were down just a couple percent off our record sales year.  The numbr of homes on the market is higher than normal levels thereby keeping prices down.  The time to buy is now.
