growth: What is your plan for success? - 06/29/09 08:19 AM
Those of you that follow my blog's, writings or even visit my website (suggested reading list) will know one thing about me relatively quickly: I believe in the power of Jesus Christ and that through him all things are possible. But I know that not everyone espouses that belief, although many believe in a power that drives their personal success.  There are 1000's of books, tapes, and "gurus" on the subject of living a successful life, whatever you believe that to be.
From Napolean Hill, to Zig Ziglar, to Anthony Robbins, to Joel Osteen, Robert Schuler, Dr Peale, and many others have all relayed their their … (0 comments)

growth: Can you Foresee the future for your client? - 03/25/07 12:14 PM

When I first looked at this from my email this morning-I was really impressed! I guess that shows my gullibility! Then I looked a little closer and easily figured out the trick that was played on my mind! Did you?!
Once figured out-I thought this truly relates to our Real Estate Business......How you say?
When I first looked at this trick, I was looking as a potential buyer or seller, or maybe a FSBO  of a home-oh this is simple, no problem, I can breeze through this and be truly impressed when I am done! Good job!
BUT as a Realtor, looking out for … (3 comments)

growth: Nature of Success-Mac Anderson does it again! - 03/15/07 07:06 AM
Technorati Profile Mac Anderson of Simple Truths has done it again. You may remember him from his short inspirational and motivational movie"212 degrees"
This new 3 minute movie-"The Nature of Success"- encompasses all of the steps of success-from belief with a passion, through knowledge and committment to setting goals and taking action, while maintaining integrity.
Believe me this 3 minutes speaks for itself-there is really little that I could add to what Mac has already put together! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

growth: An Auction House that cares about community - 03/04/07 10:42 AM
If you happened across my earlier Blog about the NEW CnS Trading Company and Mini-Mall in Essex, 21221 you already know how Big-Hearted and active Steve & Carol McBride are in the local community. What I didn't have a chance to talk about was the CnS Auction House within the building that is also very dedicated to raising money for local as well as World-wide Organizations.
The Auction is each Monday at 5pm, with viewing starting at 3pm. You will find many individual items and box lots(old & new items), as well as larger items like tv's, electronics and furniture.
Each weeks auction … (1 comments)

growth: Grand Opening in Essex, 21221-benefits community and world! - 03/04/07 10:07 AM

I have always been a very service oriented person, not just great client service but service to community. I have always felt that no matter what level of life you are at, there are others that need a helping hand.
Today in Essex at 138 Back River Neck Rd, 21221. I found the Grand Opening of the new CnS Trading Company & Mini Mall. My first thought was what a great new flea market for the Essex Community, but as I delved deeper into this new market, I found much, much more.
Steve McBride & his wife Carol, bought the fledging flea market … (0 comments)

growth: Abbreviated History of Essex-21221 - 03/01/07 06:21 PM
Essex, MD 21221 was originally begun in 1909 by the Taylor Land Company. City dwellers looked to Essex when they wanted to remove themselves from the hustle and bustle of Baltimore. The area allowed for much freedom when it came to rural activities, such as having a few animals or being able to grow a small family garden.
Essex was originally a 10 block area that encompassed the land between Mace & Marlyn Avenues. It grew quickly with the promotional materials that were utilized by the Taylor Land Co. to entice the move from the city.
The first General Store was built at the … (0 comments)

growth: Rookie growth and success-you can't have one without the other! - 02/28/07 09:51 AM
There are so many good posts on Active Rain on a daily basis! I feel as though I have grown by leaps and bounds just from reading posts over the past 2 weeks! Anyone who is in the Real Estate Industry should be required to be here-actually do you think we could turn in our hours on AR for CEU Credit?
As I promised as Moderator of the "Rookies Turning Pro" Group, as I find outstanding posts that are, at least in my opinion, VITAL to the Rookie agent, I will repost them specifically in the rookie groups.
Rookies who want to survive … (3 comments)

growth: My first week on AR - 02/25/07 08:38 AM
I have been on AR a week now-Gosh the time has just flown by! When did I have time to do any business this week? This is so addictive! Since I have to start my day at 5:30am each morning due to family obligations, I find that I can be productive building my business through the "blogosphere" for the first 2 hours of my day. Then I can go out and market myself in the community.
I have actually written several posts-of which 3 have been featured-OK I don't want to open the "Featured" can of worms so I am just … (6 comments)

growth: FREE, CHEAP, EASY ways to jumpstart your REAL ESTATE Career - 02/19/07 07:36 PM
Being new to AR, I am doing a lot of reading and studying so that my posts can be both beneficial and enjoyable. I am finding that already this is not an easy task and you must truly be dedicated to helping others.
In my last blog "Real Estate Ripoff" several people both commented and emailed about a comment I made concerning FSBO's paying a Buyers'Agent. I thought expanding on that would make a great blog but-oh, well-I was drawing a blank as to how to expand.
Then I came across a blog by Norm Fisher "So Simple It's Beautiful" dated … (80 comments)
