nonprofit: We all need a little help sometimes - 11/24/08 12:41 PM
Over the years, I have noticed that Realtors as a whole are among the top in giving to community and those in need. Our industry taking the huge hit the last 18 months has actually put many of our Realtors friends and colleagues into that "I need help" category. So this post goes out to those that are still making it as well as those that are struggling through this economy.

If you happened across my earlier Blog about the NEW CnS Trading Company and Mini-Mall in Essex, 21221 you already know how Big-Hearted and active Steve & Carol McBride are in the local community. What I didn't have a chance to talk about was the CnS Auction House within the building that is also very dedicated to raising money for local as well as World-wide Organizations.
The Auction is each Monday at 5pm, with viewing starting at 3pm. You will find many individual items and box lots(old & new items), as well as larger items like tv's, electronics and furniture.

I have always been a very service oriented person, not just great client service but service to community. I have always felt that no matter what level of life you are at, there are others that need a helping hand.
Today in Essex at 138 Back River Neck Rd, 21221. I found the Grand Opening of the new CnS Trading Company & Mini Mall. My first thought was what a great new flea market for the Essex Community, but as I delved deeper into this new market, I found much, much more.

Getting Them Sober is a world-wide non-profit based in Baltimore, Maryland that grew from the world wide acceptance of the book by Toby Rice Drews of the same name. This single book published in 1980 has now grown to 4 volumes and still is widely used in treatment centers and by Doctors world-wide. 
This million-seller book has endorsements from "Dear Abby" ("everyone should read this book"); Dr. Norman Vincent Peale ("helps millions of alcoholics"); and Melody Beattie, author  of 'Codependent No More' (Melody says: "Getting Them Sober is the best book for the family  of the still-drinking alcoholic").
