Out of 1,000 Real Estate Agents in the Quad Cities, I was just voted #1 two years in a row!!!
Thanks to everyone for their votes! What does this mean? Well, for one it means that more people voted me the best Real Estate agent in the Davenport, Iowa and surrounding area than anyone else. VOTE TODAY - March 4 SILO (School Infrastructure Local Option) Tax
Polls open 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
What is SILO?
SILO (School Infrastructure Local Option) is a local one-cent sales and service tax that provides Scott County school districts a revenue-producing alternative to property taxes for infrastructure and technology needs. Voters are being asked to renew the existing SILO tax, which expires June 30, 2009.
SILO revenue may be used to: build and furnish new buildings or additions to buildings; expand, remodel, repair or otherwise improve buildings; complete emergency repairs; lease or lease-purchase buildings or equipment, including technology; … (0 comments)

Davenport, Iowa was recently confirmed as a GREAT PLACE by the Governor of the state of Iowa, Chet Culver!
Our biggest asset, the Mississippi River, was instrumental in playing a part of this recognition as we all work together to improve our Riverfront, LeClaire Park, and Centennial Park shown above and below.
This means that Davenport, Iowa will receive state grant money to help with the continuation of improvements!

A friend of mine died this week. He was a great man, a great husband, a great father, a great friend, and a great leader in Davenport, Iowa. His activity in politics over the years led him to the position of Mayor a few years ago. I didn't always agree with him, but always respected his position and viewpoints.
Charlie Brooke had been battling cancer for several years. He never gave up. In spite of his pain and suffering, he continued to serve in many capacities in our community.

That's right! Good o' Davenport, Iowa, heart of the USA, received the distinction from the U.S. Conference of Mayors today in Los Angeles! Previously, Davenport had made the Forbes Magazine list for Best Places For Business and Careers.
The Mississippi River and our attention to it seems to have put us at the top of the list of 19,217 cities under 100,000 population.
It's our wonderful restaurants like the Boat House right on the Mississippi River front!
It's our beautiful parks and amenities, many of which are on the riverfront!
