Wow! Today is the fifth straight day in a row that we are having great sunny weather here in Eureka California. Today was especially busy for me at Lucky Star Realty in Eureka. I had appointments in the morning and then I had to show my out of town buyer-investors some houses in Eureka and then Fortuna. Today especially, we were looking at fixers because he is a first time investor and is very well qualified and serious about investing in real estate. I like Humboldt County. We are surrounded by nature, the redwoods, the ocean, the rivers...so there is always something for everyone to do, whether it be fishing, hiking, swimming, playing baseball, soccer, or enjoying a warm walk along the many beaches from Ferndale to Samoa, to Manilla, to Arcata, to the walking trials along the coast of McKinleyville, to the beautiful beaches and coast lines of Trinidad, to the camp grounds of St. Patrick's Point park. Living in a relatively isolated area like Humboldt County, one wouldn't expect to see a lot of amazing music bands making a stop rite here in town. Thanks to Humboldt State University's Associated Students, many great shows and concerts travel up here to help enrich our culture and make living in Humboldt the best experience there is. A wide variety of musical artists have appeared in concert at HSU such as Modest Mouse, Modeski Martin and Wood, Jarassic 5, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Thurston Moore, Ani Difranco, Built to Spill and many more. Eureka California is a great place to live and raise a family. Eureka is about 6 hours north of San Francisco and 2.5 hours south of the Oregon border. The main road to Eureka is US Highway 101. The drive up from San Francisco is a nice drive because of the Redwood trees and nature that surround the area. The land towards the east is a bit hilly, but on the west side lies the Pacific Ocean.
