 It is after Christmas and I am still on my family vacation in Seattle, WA.  The home of Active Rain believe it or not.  Well, being on vacation and visiting my family, I have realized something important that I mostly forget during the rest of the year when I am frantically working.  I realize that we have to take time out to invest in ourselves and our families the way we put all that effort into our jobs and work because without those family moments and enjoying personal happiness, then what is the point of all that hard work?

The real estate market and market conditions have changed in the last couple years. In this year alone, I have been working with several sellers and buyers in both Humbodt and Del Norte counties in the short sale-pre foreclosure situation. I even closed a short sale transaction a couple weeks ago where I represented the buyer. It was a very long process which took several months before it finally closed, but my buyer was very patient and we were very delegent in corresponding with the seller's lender.

In today’s unpredictable Eureka real estate market, sellers and buyers are willing to work together and make compromises to make the real estate transaction occur.  Without reasonable compromises between home sellers and home buyers in today’s real estate market, not many real estate transactions would be taking place and properties would be on the market longer than they should be.
