Things are Happening again. The Iao Parksides are selling and starting to open new escrows. There are some real nice units that have sold or went pending. It's nice to see starter level homes continue to close. Central Maui is starting to see a realization of right pricing and appropriate listing prices. I have seen less over priced homesand more evenly priced homes in Wailuku and Kahului. Nice to see that folks are accepting the change of this market. Mahalo … (0 comments)

Kukui Mall sold - 10/23/07 01:38 PM
Another small neighborhood shopping center on Maui was sold this month to a mainland real estate investment and development firm, which is aiming to significantly increase its portfolio in the islands.
An affiliate of Chicago-based M & J Wilkow Ltd. bought the fee-simple interest in the 40,974-square-foot Kukui Mall in Kihei on Oct. 1 for $18.7 million. The seller is Niu Pia Land Co. Ltd., a local real estate company. The fund that acquired the mall, Wilcal Maui LLC, is operated by Wilkow and the California State Teachers' Retirement System.

Hammerhead shark sighting closes three Maui beaches - 10/23/07 11:10 AM
Three South Maui beaches are closed because of a confirmed shark sighting. County officials say a hammerhead shark, estimated to be about 6-feet long, was spotted near Kamaole II Beach Park at 7 a.m. All three Kamaole beaches are closed as ocean safety officials track the movement of the shark, which was last seen heading south. Russell Sparks, of the state's Division of Aquatic Resources, says hammerheads don't present the same threat as other shark species because they primarily eat fish. But people should still stay away. There are some great values in the market right now. I like this MLS#326927 at 2011 Kokomo road. Great buy at $715,000 four bedroom 1.5 bathrooms, 4.7 acres of Haiku Living. Right off of Kokomo road. Man what a great market. two years ago this would have been 1,100,000 easy. I love my job. I love finding deals for the right buyer.

Maui is having first Fridays like Oahu now. The (1st) First Friday was a huge success. My band played at Gallerie Ha and the Maui News gave us front page coverage on October 6th 2007 Saturday morning news. How cool is that? Looks like there will be more first Fridays coming up.
