Today: March 8th 2012, even during the poring rain there was a foreclosure auction.

The first one was a 22000 SQFT lot in Makena which sold for the sum of $2.5 million dollars. There was no one there to bid except the bank.
The second was was for the sum of $325,000.00 which is a decent price in Kahului. You can also win this auction for 5% more then the opening bid at the confirmation hearing in the courthouse.

The Maui News has published an article that is a bit closer to the "truth" then the regular reported facts. Though RealtyTrac dot com is not the best fact finder, more or less is the only fact finder available to the large and general public. This is no coincidence that the Maui news showed up seeing that the Red List was advertising the 100+ foreclosures to be auction off on Friday the 27th of August 2010.
