myrtle beach: What would you do about a cyber-squatter? - 04/09/12 12:21 PM

To say that I am blown away and shocked at the nerve and audacity of people would be an understatement.
What would you do if you spent 15 years building up the most successful real estate agency in a resort area, with one of the best websites available, and maybe 1/4 of your considerable traffic (almost 2000 visitors per day) came from people directly typing in your domain or company name...
You're a Century 21 Agent.  Your family name is Harrelson, and the agency name is C21 The Harrelson Group.
Your website is www.C21TheHarrelsonGroup.com.

One day you get an email … (12 comments)

myrtle beach: Drawbacks of Beach Living - 06/02/10 07:06 AM
This is not going to be one of my usual wordy posts.  I've been seeing the Orkin Commercials on TV and thinking how accurate they sometimes are.  This was the best one I've seen, and truly represents the way you feel when a nice 2 inch long palmetto bug comes to visit.  They don't knock, though.
On the other hand, this is also a testament on how handy it is to live with a couple of cats sometimes...:-)

Most of Myrtle Beach's new Oceanfront Boardwalk will be open to the public by the end of the day on Friday of Easter weekend!  The contractor finished up the last few tweaks, and the city is ready to accept visitors.  So, from the 14th Avenue Pier to Fourth Avenue North, the boardwalk will be open and ready for your enjoyment as of today.

myrtle beach: Tips About Homeowners Insurance - 10/04/09 08:02 AM

One good thing about making websites for different businesses is that you are forced to learn about many things due to exposure!  Insurance has never interested me much, except how I can get by with as little as possible and as cheaply as possible.  Several years ago I bought a TBird convertible and set about to find the cheapest SC car insurance I could find.  I ended up moving from 20 years at Nationwide to Allstate, and saving (no kidding) ONE-HALF of the premium.
But that's not what I'm talking about here.  I live in a condo about 3 miles from North Myrtle Beach, and … (4 comments)

myrtle beach: Myrtle Beach Real Estate in Top 15 Healthy Markets - 02/23/09 10:14 PM

As we have been saying, Myrtle Beach real estate has gotten a huge boost since the first of January. Although there were enough "lookers" in 2008, it seemed that they all intended to wait for something before they made the decision to buy a home or condo in Myrtle Beach. Whether it was the election, Christmas, or just their state of mind, it seemed to come together after the new year.  Retirees and Canadians seem to be coming out of the woodwork now, and the number of foreclosures is dwindling - a … (3 comments)

myrtle beach: Forbes Magazine Reports on "Moderate" Real Estate Markets? - 11/27/07 12:14 AM
Undervalued Markets?? Wow! Come to Myrtle Beach!Forbes magazine has identified five cities where the economy is roaring but home prices are still moderate. MODERATE? By whose standards, I wonder?
You can buy one of the finest 2-3 bedroom Myrtle Beach oceanfront condos around for under a half million...WELL under, in many cases. I would say the average brand new North Myrtle Beach home about 3 blocks from the ocean will run less than $400K. Granted you aren't going to get a huge lot for that price...but who cares when you can walk to the beach?  Anyway, here is what Forbes considers … (0 comments)
