Yesterday I was speaking with a rental customer who inquired about a property we had listed for sale and for rent. I wondered why he didn't want to purchase in this market and he explained that he went through a short sale a year and half ago. His company was relocating him to our area from another state so he was forced to short sale his home. He was told by numerous parties that he could not purchase again for 3 years. Because of the internet and technology home buyers have become a lot smarter these days. However I continually see buyers still making some very costly mistakes so I listed some of them below. 1.
