After way too long in keeping up with your market, I find myself in an area I did not expect. The handle I was holding on to in our business snapped in two a while back. I kept telling clients to stay active and be positive. Things beyond most of our control has forced me to change the way I do business. The bank took over control of the two subdivisions I was involved in and the builder was foreclosed on, effectively stopping business as I knew it.

For years I have been intrigued by a short article I read that had been reprinted from Glamour. It talks about ways we can reach out to let people know that this world is a nicer place than a lot believe. The article promotes our ability to do little things for people we don't know or may never know. One of the reasons I like this concept is that it brings a smile to the face of so many without getting anything in return. What you gain is the joy of giving.

I promised Dorene yesterday that I would post a picture for her and started thinking that, yes she was who I was responding to but realized that we all need to be reminded of the fact that our Lord wants us to be happy and will lauggh with us when He can. Yesterday, Dorene shared a joke with us as (I believe) she needed something to make her smile. Well I know this picture will give her the chance to smile and continue to smile.

I just found out that my aunt (mom's sister) Helen Viles went to live with our God early this morning. She lived in Pueblo, Colorado and now is safe in her Father's arms. She gets to see her husband again and I know she is excited about that. She is 89 years old and starts on eternity today. Her sister's are Billie Denton, living in the Northeast Atlanta, Georgia area, and Mary Williams, living in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has a son and daughter living in the Pueblo community who will miss her a lot. She also had a number of … (4 comments)

What do you do when your partner loves dogs and will rescue them if she can catch them? You help her catch, bathe, dry, remove fleas and ticks, and hold on to them as she finds a home for them. One of the new homeowners in the new home subdivision (Great River at Tribble Mill in Gwinnett County, Georgia) we sell homes in, called my partner yesterday to tell her she had caught the puppy.
Getting the puppy was not to much trouble, but getting the mother to let us take the puppy (about 2 months old) without herself getting caught was … (2 comments)

My partner and I sit new home subdivisions where we are experiencing a real good market. We have a few reasons to explain why this is happening:
1. We have great products to present.
2. We have a builder who asks for and listens to us when changes need to occur.
3. We have "location, location, location" to enhance the product.
4. I, personally, have a partner that brings experience (25 years) plus more positive energy than anyone should ever think about.
