listening: Dream Weaver or Dream Catcher? - 08/23/08 04:14 PM
This is a picture of a physical dream catcher. Are you one or the other? Any one working in the Real Estate environment will find the fill the role in each category at some point just about every day. I find mopst of my days filling the role of Dream Catcher and, accordingly, in naming my business, peoples dreams played a part. I proudly own Dream Properties, Inc. Let me add to Gary Woltal's infoprmation as I explain. Gary's post is linked below and you can click on the blue link to read it. Gary Woltal's Blog - The Secret to Being

listening: Will our "MOST Positive Experience" show up in our business and the people we meet? - 06/16/08 02:50 PM
What is it about being positive that allows you to see positive things about other people? After thinking about thie idea of being positive and inspiring in the way we live our lives, I was reminded about a couple of co-workers that I "knew" would like to be around each other. You see, they worked for different companies and yet were in the same business, real estate agents. I had met each of them seperately and because of their positive way of considering other people, I really enjoyed being around them. After working with them on a couple of deals

listening: This one's for Debra A. Brooks, Texas Waterfront Specialist - 05/28/08 09:34 PM
Deb was kind enough to listen to a still small voice after reading one of my post and attached a picture of A Black Eyed Susan in her comment. It came at a special time for me as I had planted (for the first time ever) some Black Eyed Susans in my flower garden. Well guess what, mine finally bloomed and it stood up proud and tall in front of some daisies and I wanted to share them back to her as well as all. I believe if we are positive about shareing the good things with our family we can

listening: Spring Inspiration Rescuing Dogs with Positive Views! - 04/19/08 12:55 PM
What do you do when your partner loves dogs and will rescue them if she can catch them? You help her catch, bathe, dry, remove fleas and ticks, and hold on to them as she finds a home for them. One of the new homeowners in the new home subdivision (Great River at Tribble Mill in Gwinnett County, Georgia) we sell homes in, called my partner yesterday to tell her she had caught the puppy. Getting the puppy was not to much trouble, but getting the mother to let us take the puppy (about 2 months old) without herself getting caught was

listening: Spring Inspiration and Positive Views (of a dream home). - 04/08/08 11:12 PM
I have always loved the idea of log homes. I guess it comes from a couple things. I grew up in a pioneer environment (the Rocky Mountains) and my first career job was working for the U.S. Forest Service (whose first office was a log cabin). I finally fulfilled my dream in 1978 by having the opportunity to build my own log home. I took six weeks off work, asked my brother, my grandfather, my father-in-law, and my father to help me with the opportunity. My brother and grandfather (who had retired and needed to be out from under my grandmother's

listening: Spring (time) Inspiration and Positive Views (news) - 04/07/08 09:58 PM
Guess what is happening in northeast Atlanta Georgia? It is spring and that means the pollen is changing the color of everyone's homes, vehicles, shoes, dark clothes, surfaces of everything including the local ponds. I was walking through a new home subdivision today and a tree across the way seemed to shake a little (reminded me of a dog shaking from head to tail) when the tree was just about blocked from my vision by a cloud of pollen. I am sorry that most people have the sinus trouble that it brings, but it is a very special time of year

listening: Spring Inspiration and Positive Views - 04/07/08 09:03 PM
Recently (happened to be in the early spring), one of the wonderful people I am learning about made a simple comment about the slogan I use in all my stuff. There is a story that goes along with the picture above I would like to share about the simple we make every day. I had not been in the real estate business very long (I was able to get started in March that year) and was looking at ways that I could gain a name for myself through advertising. Whille discussing different strategies, a friend of mine was with me at the time
