Salt and Pepper! - 03/26/12 01:16 PM
Updates on Salt and Pepper. I know. It looks bad but this was all fun and play. My Salt is now having such a great time with her new “sister” Pepper. The “Toggle War” game is now a daily event. They pushed things as far as sleeping side by side. Slow progress but steady. The future looks bright!

Bad Deals! - 03/21/12 03:03 PM
“You can’t make a good deal with a bad person”. Warren Buffet Today I laugh quite a bit when I read this quote. Turns out he was right. I learned this life lesson this last fall. Investors that had me believe they were such. I spent hours after hours writing offers for them. I “invested” my time at one of the busiest time of the year. Six weeks of my life… gone. Yes. They disappeared. Earlier this week, I was doing some research for clients of mine when I stumbled across the name of those “investors”. It sure

Good Day, Either Way! - 03/16/12 07:38 AM
Of course, with the “weather roller-coaster” we have been riding throughout the country (or should I say the world?), everyone has something to say about it. Negative or positive, it is fueling up all conversations. Today, I found this quote which I believe says it all. So here it is once and for all. Enjoy this “good” day! ; ) “Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.” ~John Ruskin

Happy Spring Listings! - 03/12/12 02:48 PM
What a spectacular day here in Bellingham, Mass. After opening all my windows to let the fresh air come in and wash the sheets of all bedrooms, I had to head over to the office. It was my turn to the “uptime” chair. Well, I guess I am not the only one with spring fever. A few calls, e-mails and a walk-in with questions about possibly listing! …Oh yes, I can smell it. Spring is here and the real estate market is back. And that is great news for everyone. Happy spring!

Have You Looked At Your Business Card Lately? - 03/11/12 01:39 PM
It is this time of year again when I need to place a new order of business cards. I actually get excited about it. Almost like opening presents on Christmas morning. Why? Because I will create how my sphere will see me. Every word, detail, image put together will be like recreating a memorable first impression. In our profession we see business cards many times a day. How often do you remember ones card? And when you do, it is because it had that little “je ne sais quoi”! Bad or good, someone put some time and effort into this

What Makes A Great Real Estate Client! - 03/09/12 10:12 AM
Yesterday we talked about “what makes a great real estate agent”. Many of your answers were about “making the deal happened”. By the sound of it, many clients are anxious about the closing day. Will or will it not close? Believe me, agents feels the same way as their clients. However, a good agent will have prepared their clients on all possible scenarios and will have done their work to make it happen. On a side note, these last anxious minutes happened to me recently on the closing of a short sale house. Between me and the sellers’ agent, we had

What Makes A Great Real Estate Agent? - 03/08/12 05:23 AM
With all this nice weather coming our way, many of you will be thinking of making a move. That it is selling or buying a home/ condo/ duplex. How will you choose your agent? What will make you want to deal and do business with “the” agent? What quality, qualifications, and characteristics will you be looking for? Chances are you will be seeing, talking and dealing with this agent for the next six months. You must build a great business relationship based on trust. I cannot say how important this is enough times. Please! Go ahead. Write to me

Superman's Dream Comes True Everyday! - 03/07/12 05:51 AM
"So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable." Christopher Reeve Wise words said from my Superman. This is actually something I am finding out more and more every day. As I am growing older; by the same token wiser, I can see this being truer as time goes by. Keep on building dreams… isn’t it what we; real estate agents, do best! Builiding your dream of a home, one client at time.

The Phone Is Ringing! - 03/06/12 07:18 PM
I don’t know about you but here in beautiful Bellingham Mass, the phone has been ringing! To my surprise and for the second week in a row, my cellular phone has been ringing. No tidal wave by any means. I am talking about questions on what one’s home is worth, about rental listings, questions on “what if I sell this spring”, “what if I buy a house in the upcoming months” and about what should be done or fix in order to get ready for a possible move. In my book, it is all very positive signs. The economy is turning around.

Picture Of The Week Is Picture Perfect For A Rescued Pepper! - 03/05/12 08:39 AM
I am so happy to give you this bit of good news about our new addition. Pepper is adjusting really well into our home. Last week, I gave you the update on our second rescue dog. After adopting Salty two years ago, we decided to go ahead and adopt a “Pepper”. It has been a week now and Pepper is getting a little closer to Salty. She is 95% house trained. She understands basic commands like “Sit”, “Stay”… although this one is a hard one and “cookie?”…that is the easiest one. Pepper has been on several short hiking trips.

Don't Loose Your Focus: Keep It Clean! - 03/02/12 07:29 PM
I was reading an article yesterday published in “Allure” magazine on the top 13 beauty mistakes that turn-off men. For those that know me, it is not the kind of reading that usually gets my attention. But the title made me wonder. It turns out that some of those “pointers” could be used in real estate or any other business avenues. The neon color make-up, the orange spray-on tan and the cake-on foundation reminded me unfortunately to too many agents I see out there (sorry if I offend anyone). There is nothing attractive and professional when looking
