Are you taking four months off a year? - 03/17/07 11:53 PM
Do most real estate professionals really take off four months each and every year? Just ask yourself that question. How many real estate professionals do you know that actually take off four months a year? After reading Jeffery Prevatte's 3/14 post on Do you feel guilty for taking the day off? I loved what he had to say. That evening I wanted to comment on his blog, but found myself a little behind in priorities. It appears that guilt-free time off is something many of us deal with. So, with that said, I thought I'd share my personal philosophy (something I've shared previously with my co-workers) of taking time (72 comments)

Today Was Almost Perfect…That is for a “Perfect Storm” of a Disaster. - 03/12/07 06:37 AM
Minimal rainfall, Santa Ana winds, high heat , and low humidity all add up to a prescription for a potential disaster. Today was expected to be a beautiful day in Southern Cal. My plans included a bike ride at the beach after church and a little mid-day business. After loading 2 bikes in my truck I headed for services at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove Ca. I'm a member and a volunteer at the East door as a greeter,..interning for my eventual retirement job as a greeter at the local Wal-Mart, according to my daughter. The radio news (21 comments)
2007 L.A. Marathon! 26.2 miles-52,000 feet pounding the pavement. - 03/06/07 11:43 AM
This year's L.A. Marathon began with a brand new course beginning at Universal Studios Hollywood. Over 26,000 participants endured the warm sunny day. It was thought the new course, (touting the downhill grade at times) would bring about new record times. Not so! It was actually one of the slower paces in recent history. The men's winner was almost 9 minutes behind the course record. The women's top athlete finished almost 12 minutes over the prior record. Something somewhat unheard of at the professional level. As usual, it was a fun event with street performers and great spectator participation encouraging you along. As (2 comments)
Going the distance in real estate? - 03/05/07 11:04 PM
Yesterday I ran in the L.A. Marathon. Finishing a marathon can be a fun event. As with life, and in real estate, for me it's about the experience. This year with a brand new course, and 26,000 participants. We jogged though the best and the worst of L.A. neighborhoods. In addition we passed some of the cities famous landmarks. As much as I loved seeing the finish line after pounding the payment for hours, it's the journey that is the real payoff. This year I took some photos along the way. The goal, to always finish, period, even if I have (8 comments)
