Placentia Bank Repos ~ Placentia, CA Foreclosure Properties 2008 - 08/24/08 11:58 PM
Placentia, California is quiet residential community very well located in Northern Orange County. The City of Placentia like many others in SoCal is not immune to the housing dole-drums experienced in the Southland. Placentia's current inventory of existing listings is similar to many other surrounding communities when it comes to distressed sales. Placentia's current re-sale inventory vs. foreclosures/short sales and "traditional sales": 204 total properties for sale for July 2008 ~ of which only 24 are identified as Bank Repos, slightly fewer than 12% of the total inventory. However, when you factor in current short sale properties that total swells to about 35% of (13 comments)

Dining in Downtown Brea ~ The CARVAO Grill ~ Downtown Brea, CA 92821 - 08/21/08 12:54 AM
Brea's downtown area on Birch Street is well known for eateries, fine dining and great eats. The Carvao Grill a South American steakhouse is one of my personal favorites. My last trip was for lunch a few weeks ago on what I call "earthquake day", July 29. Immediately after the shaker my power was out at the office and at home, so what else was there to do but have lunch? Then I received a cell call from fellow Rainer Marlene Bridges making sure things were good in Brea, it felt like we were sitting on top the epicenter although it (17 comments)

North Hills Brea Homes ~ A Wonderful community located in North West Brea, CA 92821 - 08/17/08 12:51 AM
North Hills Brea is a well kept secret in many ways. Home are set at the base of the hills which separate Orange County from Los Angeles County over the hills to the North. Located primarily between the streets of Puente to the West and Berry Street to the East it's a quiet residential community of one and two-story homes. Several different builders developed in this area beginning in the late 60's through the early/mid-eighties depending on the builder. Some homes, yet not all (also depending on the builder) are in a home owner's association with amenities like pools, clubhouse, tennis (7 comments)

Six Degrees of Separation of the 2008 Beijing Olympics - 08/09/08 05:59 PM
We've all we've all heard the logic of Six-degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon, right? If not in a nutshell, it's how one person is connected to another, and that person is connected (someone who know some one who knows someone) to another and so on. Eventually I guess we're all connected by six-degrees to Mr. Bacon himself. That got me to thinking about a few things myself, in particular the 2008 Olympics. In the past I've always loved following the Olympics for many reasons. That lead me to my own (somewhat) personal connection, my personal six-degrees of loving this event. 1. I (19 comments)
