It's that time of year again, it's the SixththAnnual Brea Jazz Festival  2008 ~
It's the 2008 FREE Concert Series courtesy of the Downtown Business Owner's Association beginning Friday September 5th through Saturday September 27.  Hours are 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm each night.
The concerts take place Friday and Saturday nights in downtown Brea on Birch Street just West of Brea Blvd. You will want to arrive early for seats, they're limited. FREE parking is nearby in the multi-level parking garages in down town. Or, reserved tickets are also available here online.

Brea's downtown area on Birch Street is well known for eateries, fine dining and great eats. The Carvao Grill a South American steakhouse is one of my personal favorites.  My last trip was for lunch a few weeks ago on what I call "earthquake day", July 29. Immediately after the shaker my power was out at the office and at home, so what else was there to do but have lunch?

Six Degrees of Separation of the 2008 Beijing Olympics - 08/09/08 05:59 PM
We've all we've all heard the logic of Six-degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon, right? If not in a nutshell, it's how one person is connected to another, and that person is connected (someone who know some one who knows someone) to another and so on. Eventually I guess we're all connected by six-degrees to Mr. Bacon himself.
That got me to thinking about a few things myself, in particular the 2008 Olympics. In the past I've always loved following the Olympics for many reasons. That lead me to my own (somewhat) personal connection, my personal six-degrees of loving this event.

That right Sunday, August 3rd it's time for the whole family to enjoy the sounds of the Pacific Symphony and enjoy the outdoors on a late Sunday afternoon.
