Brea, California is a great place to call home. We all know that Orange County is home to the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland of course! Yet a day trip may not always fit in the family budget.
Like many communities one only needs to look around to find low cost or no cost activities or events. Just take the time to discover the opportunities in your own back-yard.

Brea, CA located in northern Orange County is a great place to call home. Here's a list of  events and activities for May 2008 in Good Ole' Brea!
Friday May 9th ~ "Taste of Brea" and Brea Under the Stars is a business expo sponsored by the Brea Chamber of Commerce and is FREE admission to the public. Time is 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. Plenty of parking in down town Brea on Birch Street. Living in So Cal is such a great place!  Always so many and fun things to do. The list below is one I've compiled for mid-October and beyond for Brea, CA.
Senior Driving Classes ~ October 13, 8:00 a.m. -  4:30  Brea's Senior Center is conducting a driver's class in safety for seniors. The lass includes reviewing traffic laws and safety techniques especially for seniors. If you're a senior you will find this session helpful in renewing your license.  Brea's Senior Center is located at 500 S. Sievers. Cost  only $2 bucks!  For more info call (714)  990-7100

Beautiful Brea is "all that jazz and more"  in our downtown area of the Birch Street Promenade Friday and Saturday evenings. This exciting jazz festival with wonderful live performances will run through the month of September, concluding the evening of September 29th
Brea downtown is located west of the Brea Mall at Birch Street and Brea Blvd. General admission is FREE for this series of performances, although if you prefer, you can buy reserved seating for $35 per person.
