orange county real estate: Will Your Home Expire Soon? - 06/24/07 01:06 PM
Just think about it, is your home about ready to expire? Well actually the components of your home.  You know all of those things we've grown to expect, those things that help make life easier.
We've all heard horror stories of a "money-pit" right?  No doubt there can be some apprehension on buying a re-sale home. Of course that also depends on the overall condition of the home. I've recently been working on re-doing  a 60 year-old home owned by my family, it's the same house we lived in when I was a kid. After taking another look at this list, … (14 comments)

orange county real estate: Something Old...Yet New Once Again? - 05/20/07 03:06 AM
What on earth could this be? A  history lesson for some, and a reminder of years gone by for others?  It was a big announcement...

As much as I loved seeing the finish line after pounding the payment for hours, it's the journey that is the real payoff.  This year I took some photos along the way.
The goal, to always finish, period, even if I have … (8 comments)

orange county real estate: Positioning vs. Pricing for Today’s Market… Or Getting Ahead Of the Pack - 01/16/07 04:53 PM
When it comes to evaluating a property and pricing a home properly how often do you look at how your seller will be positioned for competitive properties?  I've been guilty of this myself, pricing properties in the vicinity of others.  In today's market it's not enough to look at the comparables sales, while looking at the competition; it's about getting ahead of it, getting your sellers out in front.
Recently speaking with a seller about a potential price reduction she asked ‘How much of a price reduction do you think we need, $10,000 or more?" and "How do you think that … (7 comments)
