Santa Is Coming To Town on November 27th The Schaumburg Fire Department will officially escort Santa Claus to town on Friday, November 27, 2009 to join village officials in the annual tree lighting ceremony and welcome the holiday season from 6 to 8:30 pm at the Prairie Center for the Arts.
Village President Al Larson and members of the Board of Trustees will begin the evening singing holiday carols at 6pm at the Prairie Center for the Arts. The Schaumburg mall has formed a partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to create an innovative play area with larger-than-life, three-dimensional Looney Tunes character favorites, including Bugs, Marvin the Martian, Yosemite Sam, Pepe Le Pew, Sylvester and Tweety.
The play park is set to open November 7th, 2008 - the same day Santa's set to make his annual debut.
The new play area allows children to climb aboard a super-size teeter totter with Yosemite Sam, jump in a raft with Pepe Le Pew and his girlfriend, Fifi La Fume, and play hopscotch with the Tasmanian Devil. A simulated sandbox and giant … (2 comments)
