This is a great post written by a loan officer, Dan Pena in Oregon about his experience with helping folks get their Reverse Mortgage. There's a lof of bad press out there and misinformation. I think this is the biggest and best reason that the loan product is out there. Keeping people in their homes and just helping out a little with the daily increases that need to be absorbed. Nothing extraordinary or a splurge like a big screen TV. It could be just a smaller breather ...... to get food.

This is the Months Supply of Inventory for Schaumburg IL Single Family Homes from April 2007 to June 2009.
This is also called the 'Conversion Rate' or how long and how much inventory is on the market in a particular town. Obviously, the higher the rate, the longer the market time for that particular community.

Well you must be interested in Schaumburg if you're here! Or are you just curious? This is a short piece on the top selling subdivisions in Schaumburg over the last few months (June thru October 2008). There were a total of 113 single family sales. Only 4 are marked as short sales and I suspect a few are foreclosures.
