Real Estate Market Update - Northwest Suburbs - December 2011 Well last month I reported that I felt the market was slowing down but I was still quite optimistic for the end of the year sales. At the final tally, we did well over the 2010 sales year. Sales are above those levels and I think we can't be stopped from going forward!

Hmm, what are they trying to hide? Unfortunately that's the first thing I also think of when I see a home freshly painted. You can tell from the driveway that the home was 'normally' not taken care of so what else lurks beneath that fake freshness?
This is a great reason why a home inspection is of utmost importance. Do you really know what to look for? Get an inspector that does!

In the Chicago Northwest Suburban area it is not customary for listing agents to accompany showings, namely letting the buyer and their agent into the property. I have always found this an 'odd custom' and every once in awhile I find a seller that expects it or thinks that is the best way to highlight their home.
