facebook: An Office Space That Blogs and Tweets?? - 05/19/11 12:07 AM
So everyone who reads my blog knows how much I love unique marketing ideas. Well, here's one that I thought was not only hilarious but effective. There's this vacant office space in Tucson, Arizona that tweets and blogs and has a Facebook Fan Page.  Seriously!
The office, called A Lonely Office, is named Ralph and says he started his foray into the online community because he's lonely and the office next door didn't password protect their Wi-Fi.  Why is Ralph online?  He's looking for friends.  I'm not making this up people. Not only does he blog and all that, now he's … (6 comments)

30 Days of Marketing Opportunities - Day 18My goal is to write 5 days per week for 30 days. So I've started this series that I hope to motivate me to write. 30 Days of Marketing Opportunities will give you 30 projects or tasks that your Virtual Assistant can handle on your behalf, generating leads that will ultimately generate more income for you!  These are tasks that do not require a lot of high-end skill but, instead, require some time (hence the reason your Virtual Assistant should handle these tasks, not you!) and attention to detail.  Join me on the journey!Day … (6 comments)

facebook: When Your Virtual Friends Are More Real (And More Fun)! - 02/13/09 12:12 PM
I read someone say the other day that she has more fun with her virtual friends than she does with her friends in real life.
That's interesting to me because the friends I've made online have in many ways made more of an impact on me, my life, and my business than most people I've met in real life.  I started wondering, why is that?  How could that be when I've never even met most of my virtual "friends?"  Then I realized something important...
The friends I've made online are like me, more like me than just about anyone I know locally.  They … (5 comments)

facebook: Making Your Connections Count! - 01/10/09 06:20 PM
How many of you really make the most of your connections?  I mean, REALLY?  Are you utilizing the contacts you have to help grow your business?  I wonder.  For at least 80% of the people who have connections on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and the myriad other social networking sites, I'm going to guess that they don't.  And here's why...
Most people don't know HOW to make the most of their connections.  So, in order to assist you in doing just that, here are 5 ways to make your connections work for you:
1. Be sure that your connections are told regularly how … (9 comments)

facebook: Different Strokes for Different Folks - 12/22/08 03:52 PM
I read a blog where someone really didn't "get" blogging - Why Blog by Mike Butson.  After someone made a comment on my post about not seeing any value for getting business on Twitter, I started thinking about how we feel about the marketing methods we choose to utilize to grow our respective businesses.
One thing I realized was that everything isn't for everybody.  Not everyone will "get" blogging.  Not everyone will get Facebook, or LinkedIn or Twitter.  Some will not get any form of online networking and marketing.
We all need to realize that there will be different strokes for different … (6 comments)

facebook: Social Media - It's Not For Blatant Advertising Folks! - 12/11/08 02:24 PM
So, I've been participating on several social networking sites lately such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, among others.  I've been noticing something that's really started to grate on my nerves - blatant advertising by virtual assistants.
And I don't mean the occasional "hey, I'm a VA and I provide lead management and listing coordination services." I'm talking the all-out ads: "Do you need a VA? Hire ME! I'm need more clients so Hire Me!"  And daily, several times during the day - the same thing.
Hey, I understand that people approach social media in different ways and I really need to get into … (22 comments)

facebook: Outsourcing Social Networking For Stagers - 08/06/08 02:25 PM
I'm taking this information from another post I wrote but I'm altering it specifically for stagers.
I'm sure your first thought upon reading the title was, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS SHE TALKING ABOUT??? I mean, how on earth can you possibly outsource social networking? There are several tasks related to social networking that can be outsourced without risking the integrity of your networking. Here are a few for your … (3 comments)

facebook: Stagers - Are You Using Social Networking To Your Advantage? - 08/03/08 07:16 PM
I'm just wondering...
Since I've learned about staging, I've come to absolutely love the idea. I'm constantly promoting it to my clients and looking for ways that I can help people in that industry grow their businesses.
Lately, I've been building my profiles on a couple of social networking sites and thought about you guys.  Are you taking advantage of the social networking sites?  Have you built up profiles to promote yourselves and your businesses?  Have you connected with other people who are in your industry and, more importantly, who are your primary market?  Well, what are you waiting for?

facebook: And YES - It Really IS Addicting! - 08/03/08 05:51 PM
I've finally jumped onto the social networking bandwagon and I have to say that I absolutely love it!  I previously commented on another person's blog that I didn't participate anywhere other than here because I didn't see the point.  Well, ladies and gentlemen, now I get the point!
At first, like many of you, I felt that places like MySpace, Factbook, and LinkedIn were a waste of time.  All I saw when I initially visited these sites were people posting photos of their family (and what's wrong with that??), chatting about everything under the sun (I've got 6 kids - no time for … (18 comments)
