localism: 30 Days of Marketing Opportunities - Day 17: Fan Your Fans - 05/04/11 01:26 PM
30 Days of Marketing Opportunities - Day 17My goal is to write 5 days per week for 30 days. So I've started this series that I hope to motivate me to write. 30 Days of Marketing Opportunities will give you 30 projects or tasks that your Virtual Assistant can handle on your behalf, generating leads that will ultimately generate more income for you!  These are tasks that do not require a lot of high-end skill but, instead, require some time (hence the reason your Virtual Assistant should handle these tasks, not you!) and attention to detail.  Join me on the journey!Day … (0 comments)

localism: Wal-Mart Heading For The Hills - Sad But True! - 09/16/08 07:49 PM
No, it's not what you think!  Wal-Mart has not decided to move it's headquarters to New Mexico or Chile.  Something much, much worse has happened and, unfortunately, it has happened in my little suburb of Garfield Heights, Ohio.
Wal-Mart in the new shopping plaza on Transportation Boulevard shut its doors on Monday morning.  The unthinkable happened.  Without any warning to employees, who showed up to work yesterday as they did for every Monday morning for the past year since the plaza has been operational, only to be told that the store was closing.  Just like that, all of those employees were now out … (16 comments)

localism: Bring STAGING To The World - One Local Community At A Time! - 08/11/08 08:43 PM
As I've said before, I learned about the wonderful world of staging when I joined Active Rain. Ever since then, I've been on a mission to tell as many of my clients and business associates as I can about the benefits of staging.  I wonder if you are taking advantage of a fantastic opportunity to do the same thing... Of course, I'm talking about Localism.com.  This, in my not-quite-so-humble opinion, is an excellent way for stagers to be visible - not only to those potential buyers but to sellers and agents as well. Why would you want to be visible to buyers? Because one … (5 comments)

localism: Getting Agents To Splash - 08/11/08 01:30 PM
I bit the bullet and decided to sponsor my local community.  I've got a ton of ideas of ways to make the best use of that sponsorship.  I'll go into details on how I'm using my localism community later!
For now, I have a question for you.  I'd really like to get the real estate brokerages and lending institutions in our area to see what a great thing we have here, both in the Rain and on the Localism side, but I'm not sure of the best way to do that.  I'd love some suggestions on how to approach area realtors and … (9 comments)

localism: What Do You Think? (Sponsoring a Localism Community) - 08/10/08 04:33 PM
So, I've done my duty in securing the sponsorship of communities for several clients.  Now that the dust has settled (somewhat), I started actually taking a look around the localism communities and see that it really does have treendous potential for sponsors and top neighbors.  On to my question...
As Virtual Assistants, what do you think about a VA sponsoring a community as opposed to an agent, lender, or stager?  I'm thinking about the possiblities and wondering if it would be worth my while to do so.
Your thoughts?
