What Does it Mean to be Published in a Nationwide Real Estate Magazine?
Since 2009, I've been fortunate enough to be published (or interviewed) a total of seven times in various nationwide real estate publications. That list of publications included Realtor Magazine, the NAR "Legislative Live Blog", The Wall Street Journal and The Residential Specialist Magazine (published by the Council of Residential Specialists).

Madeline Island Realty was the first Madeline Island real estate company to introduce participation in a Multiple Listing Service (MLS) back in 2001. At the time we joined the Northwest Wisconsin MLS, there was skepticism, even a fair amount of ridicule on the part of our competitors. Today, virtually everyone on Madeline Island with a real estate license who is still in business is an MLS participant. The same holds true for Bayfield (Wisconsin) agents.

If your agent isn't tailoring their online marketing to users of mobile devices, you need to show them some statistics.
Slate Magazine reports that the Smartphone adoption rate isn't slowing down. On the contrary, the rate at which Americans are buying their first smartphone is gaining. And Slate further mentions that manufacturers and vendors will likely stop offering non-smartphones in the near future. So the die-hard Luddite who points with pride to their old-fashioned phone without Web browsing capability or applications will soon find their antiquated communication device has become irreplaceable once it wears out.
