This post was inspired by a post of Maureen Staccato's.
No, I am not being facetious.  I really want to know. 
Why am I asking something that may seem obvious to most?  Well, here in Florida you don't need to speak English to get your real estate license.  You can take the class in Spanish.  You can take the test in Spanish.  You can speak Spanish to your customers.  You can use a Spanish sale and purchase contract.  But is this beneficial to the consumer?

Traffic Jam Because of a Horse? - 05/19/07 11:56 PM
It's not every day I get stuck in traffic behind a horse.  Oh, living in the Miami Redlands, I see horses being transported all the time.  And I usually see local horse owners taking them out for leisurely rides.  But today I saw something different.
I was driving on SW 200th Street when I saw a horse galloping like a bat out of you-know-where towards 200th street.  I knew that if I didn't slow down he and my vehicle might actually have a sudden and, more than likely, injuring collision.

This post isn't about real estate.  Not directly anyway.  It's about a neat site one of my sellers told me about.  I take time to make small talk with my customers.  It's not small to me.  I really do enjoy connecting with people this way.  Sometimes this means it takes longer to get things done (I had a 5 hour listing presentation once!) but I really do enjoy the connections I make with my customers.

Google EarthTM has a nifty little gadget available that offers endless possibilities for it's use.  It's called a Trackstick.
The Trackstick is a smidgen bigger than a jump drive and it tracks its own location at predetermined intervals.  Not only does it track its location, it also tracks time, date, speed, heading and altitude.
It has over 1Mb of memory and can easily store months of travel information.  It integrates seamlessly with Google EarthTM  so you can create really cool vacation memories.

Living in the Miami Redlands makes it easier for me to sell real estate here.  Easier because I don't just sell real estate in the Redlands, I live it, know it and love it.
The Miami Redlands area is a historic agricultural community.  As such, you can't beat it for finding wonderful plants, be they for landscaping, windowsills or gifts.  There are many plants to be found here.  One of my favorites is the orchid.

I had an opportunity to have a leisurely chat with my kid today.  She's 15 and we talk but it seems as if one of us is always on the run when we do.  Although today was a school day I had to take her to a doctor's appointment and we had a late breakfast afterwards.
We got to talking about everything while talking about nothing in particular.  That's when some of the best memories are made.

This week I saw a FSBO sign on the lawn of one of the houses I farm.  Of course that always stings, but you can't take those things personally when you're a REALTOR®.
I made note of the info but it wasn't your typical info.  They had a website listed on the flyer in the info-tube so of course I checked it out.  It's a company that is somehow putting financing in place so that buyers can be offered "seller financing" that isn't really seller financing.  I will look into it further and do a post about it but I'm writing about … (25 comments)

On Sunday, May 13, 2007, Mother's Day, Miami Mothers can get a free breakfast entree at participating McDonald's Restaurants.  This promotion is probably taking place throughout the continental United States but I'll let your local REALTOR® let you know if you're not in Miami.
 
 
Mothers must be accompanied by a child in order to qualify for the free breakfast.  Now we all know you're not going to let the poor kid go hungry but it's still a pretty neat thing McDonald's is doing.  The breakfast you do pay for shouldn't cost you more than 3 times the free one.  =)

Broker's Caravan Markets Listings - 05/03/07 08:59 PM
I'd been told caravans haven't been popular lately.  In the almost 2 years I've been licensed as a REALTOR® in Miami I had not heard of any being done.  Two months ago Julie Romero, of Combank Mortgage, told me that her bank was putting together a Broker's Caravan in the Homestead area and I had been trying to make it into the very popular caravan ever since.  Today I made it in!

I don't make waves.  Usually.  I dislike conflict.  I've written about Localism pictures before.   I thought I noticed my picture points decreasing.  It turned out there probably had been a few deleted from the comment made on that post by Caleb (not to be confused with Flat Caleb who has less hair). 
I have now seen my picture contributions decreasing yet again.  Almost daily.  I don't mind if the powers-that-be in the Rain monitor and delete pictures they deem "inappropriate."  As a matter of fact, I welcome it!  It's high time the Localism photos be brought up to 'snuff.  I … (45 comments)
