portland: Maine State Pier Development May Move Forward - 12/17/08 06:33 AM
On Monday the Portland City Council held a workshop to discuss the future development of the Maine State Pier. The result was an informal decision to re-open negotiations with Portsmouth-based Ocean Properties. Three options were presented by the city manager's office for moving forward with the redevelopment of the pier and in the end they chose to move ahead with Ocean Properties, who last year lost the bid for the development project to local competitor The Olympia Cos. The city council scheduled a formal vote on the matter next month. At this time there is still no final decision on whether

portland: Maine Home Sale Reports Updated - 10/28/08 04:42 PM

Sales results are available for York and Cumberland Counties in total, as well as selected individual cities and towns. Details are available at the link Home Sales and individual City pages. Although unit sales for both single-family homes and condos are down in virtually every town, pricing has not experienced the same dramatic decreases, which is encouraging for sellers. For the month of September the median sales price for a single-family existing home was $177,750, down 6.5% from one year

We often get requests for property, especially Waterfront Real Estate that are hundreds of miles apart. The Maine coast has over 3,000 miles of coast line, but from a practical standpoint, the majority of the population live in the southern section - Cumberland and York Counties, which includes the
