buckhead: Buckhead Real Estate Market Statistics, November 2010 - 12/25/10 08:28 PM
These are the real estate statistics for the Buckhead area of Atlanta., FMLS area 21. Data is from Smart Numbers reports from the Atlanta FMLS.
 
They are only for single family detached homes.
Chart one shows average sales price going back to January 2002. The bars at the bottom show the volume of unit sales.
Chart two just takes the first chart and smooths it out using a volume weighted twelve month moving average. See this post for details on how and why I like this moving average chart.

buckhead: Buckhead Area Real Estate Market Stats February 2009. FMLS Area 21 - 03/28/09 08:37 PM
The Buckhead area had a really big drop in the number of sales.   The average price seems to have dropped down to the range it was it 5-7 years ago.  I only am posting single family detached homes here.  Buckhead has a large number of condos and I can say that condos prices are really down much more.  Unfortunately, they keep building more.
The numbers below are for single family detached homes in FMLS area 21. Links to stats for other areas are at the bottom of the page.
Year over year, total transactions decreased from 51 to 20 (-60%)

buckhead: My Walk Around Chastain Park. Atlanta City Park with Golf and Much More. - 06/10/07 09:32 PM
I spend a lot of time around Chastain Park.  It is a city park just north of the Buckhead area.  My kids play various sports there. NYO(Northside Youth Organization) does a great job with the children's sports programs.  They have an outstanding baseball program, from T-ball to kids up to 8th grade.  They also have a nice football program. 
The majority of the park consists of a public golf course.  Around this they have a nice 3 mile walking/biking trail.  There's also  tennis, swimming, horse stables and a gym.  The other night I stuck my head into the gym and they had … (1 comments)

buckhead: Buck Head Style in the Suburbs - 01/19/07 10:37 AM
I saw this bathroom yesterday when I was out showing properties.  It just struck me as very interesting.
There is an expensive intown area of Atlanta that is called Buckhead, but this home was out in the burbs.
Sometimes agents do market homes in the suburbs as having Buckhead style.
Does he go in there and hit the head?
I wonder what a home stager would have to say about this.  I think that the seller was an owner/agent.
 It did make my clients and me laugh and allowed us something to remember the home by.
