Southwest Forsyth County average home sales prices bounced a bit up off the bottom of their four year price channel. Unfortunately, the number of sales continues to drop also.
Forsyth County has become a high income area.  This might be why prices have been holding up pretty well over the past five years. 
Total days on market shot up to 189 and the sales price to original list price ratio continues to trend lower, now around 90%.
The numbers below are for single family detached homes in FMLS area 222. Links to stats for other areas are at the bottom of the page.

forsyth: Atlanta's a Great Place to Retire - 11/24/06 03:48 PM
I never thought of Atlanta as a place that someone would want to retire to.  But in the last two years I've been working with more and more people coming from California, Arizona and Florida who are finding Atlanta as a great place to retire.  Most are impressed with the type of home that they can buy in the outer suburbs such as Forsyth county.  They don't have to commute so the traffic isn't a big deal.  There are some really nice golf club communities and the Mall of Georgia and North Point Mall are pretty close by.
