stone mountain: How's the Atlanta Market? Depends on What Part of the County You Live In. - 12/31/09 05:16 PM
It really amazes me how different parts of Atlanta have fared in the last few years. 
In the middle of 2007 the real estate market in Atlanta finally began to take a hit.  In some areas the bottom seemed to drop out.  Other areas have held up reasonably well in comparison.
Below are market graphs for single family detached homes in various parts of the Atlanta metro area.
First the overall numbers that get reported in the local media.

stone mountain: Stone Mountain Area Real Estate Market Stats February 2009. FMLS Area 42 - 03/30/09 02:57 PM
The Stone Mountain area average home price continues to take a dive. This area is seeing a lot of foreclosures. One positive thing is that things seem to be selling.  People are taking advantage of the low prices.  It is truly amazing at the amount of house you can get for the money over here.
Total days on market shot up to 116 and the sales price to original list price ratio continues to trend lower, now around 75%.
The numbers below are for single family detached homes in FMLS area 42. Links to stats for other areas are at the bottom of the page.
