Today is a very sad day in South Orange New Jersey as one of the staples of the community has officially closed its doors.  If you have ever visited South Orange then you either went to Cryan's or seen it as it is one of the most well known businesses in the area.   Cryan's Beef and Ale House, has been in business for 30 years, announced on Twitter that, "due to the recession and economy we have closed our doors for business" effective Jan. 1, 2013. Being born in Brooklyn, NY I am used to certain things...for starters; crowded train stations, a vibrant night life and an assortment of different people from all walks of life everytime I leave the house.  Brooklyn is so diverse there is never a dull moment and if you visit you will see what I mean. Is it just me or did the Summer go wayyyyy to fast??? it seems like the cold just left and the flowers were starting to bloom, but just like that...its over.  Labor day is just around the corner and its time to put up the bathing suits and break out the long sleeve shirts.

Being a New Yorker who moved to New Jersey a few years ago I must say it was a real eye opening experience.  New York is fast paced, aggressive and can be somewhat cold (the concrete jungle)
if your not use to the customs; whereas New Jersey (the garden state) has tons of tree's and outdoor living mixed with a blend (just like NY) of all types of people and cultures.  I will say both are interesting places to live and both have pro's and con's.
