I had a call from a tenant in one of my listings yesterday.  She wanted to tell me about a particularperson that she did not want to see the home.  
Fair enough, I asked "why"?
She went on to explain that earlier this week she was home taking a nap, she had left a few windows open a bit.  She woke to hear the sounds of someone trying to remove the screen from the window of one of the bedrooms.  
She called 911, grabbed her handgun, and went outside to confront her visitor, at gunpoint.

How the foreclosure freeze that is in effect will effect short sales and the general real estate market has been something that I have given a lot of thought recently.  Here is a good post that looks at it from either perspective.

wow!  This is a great post from an Arizona real estate agent.  This makes me want to get in touch with some local media about putting on an event like this here in Bradenton. 
There are so many people that feel like they have no where to turn.  Things are getting better, but on some files I am amazed at how slow some can go.

Freddie mac and Fannie Mae seized thousands of foreclosure files from the David Sterns office in Brward County this week.
 
David Sterns law practice on the east coast of Florida has been one of the biggest firms processing thousands of Florida Foreclosure cases over the past few years.  Freddie and Fannie had enough about the obvious shortcuts taken by the firm, and seized thousands of files from their office this week to review them for possible errors.
