I wish to reveal something about myself, that you would never know, just from looking at my photo or reading my blogs. Why am I doing this? I don't know...I've gotten really weird since turning fifty. Things just come out of my mouth without much thought. Might be why my kids don't want to be out in public with me. I get asked by agents and sellers alike to describe the different levels of staging. And I always say, a picture is worth a thousand words:
Vacant- cold, stark, and uninviting, any flaws would be very apparent.
Lightly Staged- artwork and accessories draw attention to the best features of the home.
Vignettes- small areas staged to accentuate positive features and detract from negative ones.
Fully Staged- allows buyers to view the home at it's greatest potential.
This is a very easy way to explain the cost levels involved in staging too. One of these examples will fit into most budgets.
