As we get ready for back to school and other activities we get a little overwhelmed. Please remember our primary focus is the safety of our kids. Please talk to your children about good touch and bad touch. Let them know that it is okay for them to talk about anything that makes them uncomfortable.
Many child predators look at volunteer jobs as a way to get closer to children. Make sure that you monitor any programs where your child is participating. Make sure these programs require criminal background checks for anyone that has access to the children. As a parent … (2 comments)

We all know that education is very important and it's one of the keys to success.  Even our industry is starting to increase education requirements for realtors and loan officers.  We all want our kids to have an advantage as they enter adulthood and it's never to late to start planning.  I wanted to share a couple of sites that can help you find the right type of financial aid for yourself or your children.

I just read an article in Self Employed, a publication distributed by the National Association for the Self Employed(NASE), that talks about tax breaks for hiring your children.  I thought this would be beneficial to most of us in AR.  Please check with your CPA first as I'm just paraphrasing.  Partnerships and sole proprietorships might also be able to avoid social security and medicare tax on  those wages.
