Listing router was rolled out by Active Rain one month ago and I am surprised I am not seeing more posts talking about it either positive or negative. For me, it has been a problem. First, I was unable to get my credit card information accepted. After I got that problem corrected it was the campaigns.

My posts may not be getting many of your comments but I had 7 leads from buyers and 1 seller lead so far this week.
 
I hear much commentary on writing posts for their content and how that is the idea behind this forum. But, for me the idea is much simpler…..to get business. And for me, getting business has been about posting properties, market statistics and areas of interest within my community setting me up, as the seller lead put it “the go to girl in Marathon”. How to Price a Listing in this Slow Market with NO comps? - 11/09/08 06:53 PM

 I know the old Realtor saying is "location, location, location" but in this very slow market with few if any sales it has been "price, price, price". And, I think we will all agree with prices continuing to fall, "time is the enemy" and it is crucial to price a listing to sell in 30 days before it loses even more value.

 Looking ahead to November: National Runaway Prevention MonthNovember is National Runaway Prevention Month and Floirda Keys Children's Shelter will be throughout the community presenting information about our Green Light Campaign.  We will be distributing Green Light Bulbs for home owners and businesses to burn, in their homes or in their porch lights, throughout the month of November to raise awareness of Runaway Prevention Month.  Their goal is to distribute 1080 green light bulbs throughout Monroe County during the month of November.

Pigeon control in Condo Association who is responsible? - 11/04/08 10:41 AM
Florida Keys real estate pigeon control issue in Condominium Association Has anyone had any first hand experience with a pigeon porblem in Florida in a condominium association? I am curious who is responsible for ridding the building of these filthy pests. Of course my building manager is saying its not his issue but I am thinking that the pigeons are nesting on the common areas of the building and are soiling common elements making it an Association issue. Frosty's Restaurant and Sunset Tiki bar in Marathon is holding an event  to raise money for Florida Keys Children's Shelter. Bring your team of four on Wed. November 12 from 5:30 to 9:30 with a team entry fee of $100 which will include 75 chicken wings, 15 sliders and two pitchers of beer. Music will be provided and all proceeds will benefit the Children's Shelter.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is asking Florida Keys residents to leave crocodiles alone. The are listed as endangered species and are protected under federal law. They are generally shy and reclusive and live in coastal regions. If you spot someone feeding or harassing a crocodile please contact the FWC hotline at 1-866-FWC-GATOR. The Florida Keys have many wildlife species for you to observe and enjoy!!

Please pray for Santiago Adames, local Florida Keys marathon business owner - 11/01/08 03:51 PM
Santiago is a fixture at the Miami Subs restaurant he owns in Marathon. He remains hospitalized after an acccident on Overseas Highway. Santiago, was a happy and vibrant member of our local community and my prayers go out to his family as he struggles to recouperate from this accident. In the meantime the Marathon Miami Subs is closed until further notice and we dearly miss Santiago and pray for his full recovery.
