New truth in lending act that goes in to affect July 30th, what do you think?? - 07/21/09 08:49 PM
WOO HOO my clients were able to get a cut on their interest rate.  They are doing a VA loan and were eligible for one cut if the interest rates dropped and they did.  I got a call from their lender today saying the interest had dropped but it would have to be re-submitted and would delay closing; would the seller agree.  In this case they are already in the house (leasing back before closing) so they can just pay the seller's for the extra days; no big deal as it is only a few days.

Wordless Wednesday - Little Blue Heron & Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks! - 07/15/09 11:03 PM

This picture was taken by our daughter at Brazos Bend State Park.  The park is only a little over an hour from our house and I was amazed at all the wildlife we saw.  The bird pictures all tend to fit better in a long format so this did not fit in my last post where the alligators fit sideways.  Somehow I NEVER thought about Texas and alligators going together but they do.  If you would like to see Alligators in Texas please visit my post at Alligators anyone.

A Day Trip from Spring TX - Brazos Bend State Park - Alligators anyone! - 07/14/09 08:04 PM
One of the things I love about living in Spring TX are the wonderful day trips you can take. Our daughter recently took a trip with her photogrpahy club to Brazos Bend State Park and after seeing her pictures we had to visit.  It is quite INCREDIBLE!!  I had NO IDEA that we had alligators living so close to us (this was only a little over an hour from our house).  For the most part the alligators were being very lazy as it was a very hot day.  We will need to go back when it cools down a bit so we can maybe see  more activity.

Wordless Wednesday - Augusta Pines Fireworks - Bursting in Air!! - 07/08/09 09:34 PM

We love walking to Augusta Pines Golf Club and watching their firework display around the lake on the 4th of July.  This year our daughter was home and took this wonderful picture.  It does give that bombs bursting in air look.  We are so blessed to live in this country and I love Independence Day!

Mr. Seller you need to make your home available to show!! - 07/06/09 04:38 PM
For the last several days I have been showing in a very popular area and I have been amazed at how hard the seller's have made it for me to show their home.  I am working with out of town buyers so we have been looking at a lot of homes. For the most part I have been making my showings with almost a 24 hour notice.  Several of the sellers changed my showing time which then throws my sequence off.   I have been tripping over myself back tracking through areas that I have already left.

Scenes from North Houston Independence Tea Party - July 2nd 2009!! - 07/05/09 08:51 PM

For a VERY HOT July evening (we have been beating heat records in Houston) we had somewhere between 3500 to 5000 people show up for our North Houston - The Woodlands July 2nd Independence Tea Party.  We had to change the venue from our Tax Day Tea Party as we were so successful with that tea party we had to find a new place to go.  We ended up at the Lonestar Expo Center in Conroe TX.  It ran from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and we had a fun educational evening.  It was again a peaceful gathering to unite our voices and … (13 comments)
