 I hope everyone is enjoying the unofficial start to summer! This weekend has been beautiful here in South Florida, sunny and warm but a lot cooler than a lot of places with their record setting heat. Today is Memorial Day and besides being an extra day off from work for most it is important to take a moment (at least) to remember what the holiday is actually about.

Cash is king across South Florida, higher demand is leading to multiple bids and in turn, elevating prices and turning our area completely around. Fueled mostly by foriegn investors with cash in their pockets we are seeing a trend reminicent of pre-recession times. Investors with cash continue to fuel the market.In both Miami-Dade and Broward, 64 percent of closed sales in March wereall-cash sales, with the vast majority to international buyers, the Miami Association of Realtors said. I think Charita has a good point here. With consumers having practically all access you would think they don't need us anymore BUT we have to remember that they are not the "authorities" in the field.

Margaritas Enchiladas and the Derby! - 05/05/12 05:50 AM
Talk about a busy day! The Kentucky derby is running this afternoon and Cinco de Mayo celebration is all day(and night). I have my usual Saturday morning running around to do but decided to kill two birds with one stone this afternoon. I am hosting a Cinco de Mayo inspired Kentucky Derby party! I will be putting the blender to the extreme test making all kinds of Margaritas to cool off the homemade Mexican dishes that taste like, well mostly fire:) So cheers to our horses and our friends and neighbors to the south-can I get an OLE?
