For all the sneaker heads out there and other agent my age we all recall seeing and having our first pair of Air Jordan's.  This was the best shoe out.  Not only did it look beyond sharp but it was comfy and cool.
I always liked the blue black ones the most!
They are now making some retro throwbacks in new colors too!  But the best news might be the newest model #23!
We it looks like #23 may be making his last pair and interestly enough they are planned to be ECO friendly!  With all the great programs for making homes … (1 comments)

colorado: Last year at this time. - 12/21/07 09:18 AM
Christmas 2006 still had 15 inches of snow on the ground still left over from the winter storm that occurred on the 21st and 22nd.  There was even a small amount of snowfall on the day that Saint Nick does his famous ride.  In fact...December 2006 became Denver's 3rd snowiest December in Denver weather history since 1882.  The month finished with a whopping 29.4 inches which was 20.7 inches above the normal of 8.7 inches.  The irony of December 2006 is there were only 4 days with measureable snow...20.7 on the 20th and 21st and 8.0 inches on the 28th and … (0 comments)

Just in time for Christams the Feds are working on some new finance laws.  Will the new loan programs help us out?  I guess it will take more time to unwrap the new rules to see if these gifts are for the naughty or the nice!

Four items face planning, zoning board, an article from The Coloradoan, reports that Fort Collins planning and zoning board will consider a convenience store with a gas station and fast food restaurant, a long-term care facility and Colorado State University's plan for a research campus on the southwest corner of Interstate 25 and East Prospect Road.  The plan for CSU's research campus includes 25 acres for AVA Solar, which would manufacture solar photovoltaic panels and promises to bring between 600 and 700 jobs to Northern Colorado.  Kevin Frazier plans to develop the long-term care facility on 19 acres north of East … (0 comments)

Fox Acres owners target boomers seeking real estate, an article from The Coloradoan, reports that during the past 18 months, Kevin and LeAnne Frazier have been pumping more than $1 million into Fox Acres, the exclusive country club and resort in Red Feather Lakes.  The Fraziers paid $6.5 million for the 460-acre private gated community and 18-hole golf course and have already built a new spa, sandy swim beach, fitness center and tennis court, upgraded the clubhouse and bought new golf course equipment.  Their goal is to make it a world-class destination spot for boomers with money to spare looking for … (1 comments)

colorado: Obervatory Park (high end college living) - 11/05/07 07:37 AM
http://www.ncbr.com/article.asp?id=89555
What a difference a year makes.  Denver developer comes to market with High End College living.  Move in ready (plasma, furniture, dishes and art all provided) While i applaud his going for green attitude this article begs the question can he make his market?  Will this project be able to rush to completion for the housing rush for next years students?  Can this project demands rents of over twice the going rates?  While i would love for this project to be a move toward higher rents and New development i do not believe one speculators project will set the rule.  For more … (2 comments)

Library needs to expand, but how?, an article from the Loveland Reporter-Herald, reports that despite city plans to expand the current library, a few of the Loveland City Council candidates have expressed interest in building a branch library.  Ward 4 candidate Don Archuleta said a branch would stem some of the tide of vehicle traffic into the downtown and could specialize in one subject or one service, in addition to easing pressure on the existing library.  The current unofficial plans from consultants for a Loveland Public Library expansion have generally suggested a two-story addition of about 27,000 square feet and renovations of the … (0 comments)

colorado: Rockies Rant (World Series) - 10/25/07 11:18 AM
Wow last night was tough to watch.  We still love our Rockies out her in colorado!  Sometimes you have to get your butt kicked to re-focus on your goals.  I guess it is a lot like real estate.  you go out and your record is 9 or the last 10 listing you won.  then you get spanked on that last listing appointment and you go back to the dugout and rework your lineup.  what did we do wrong?  what did the other agent do that seemed to make her better?  I am not really one to make preditions but i think … (5 comments)

colorado: Uranium Mining in my backyard? - 10/24/07 12:30 PM

We are faced with a historic choice here in northern Colorado," said Lilias Jarding, a spokesperson for Coloradoans Against Resource Destruction (C.A.R.D.). "We have been working to become the 'renewable energy capital' of the U.S. We can either continue on this path or allow non-renewable uranium to be mined here.
As you may of may not be aware serious issues are facing the Northern Colorado area right now.  Up to as many as 5 companies are seeking permits to mine uranium in Larimer and Weld County's.  As prices of Uranium reach all time highs the supply of low-grad uranium in Colorado … (2 comments)
